Kroon-Oil introduces new Poly Tech oils

The new Poly Tech line has been introduced to cope with the severest circumstances of the engine. The new technique of using OSP’s (Oil Soluble Polyalkylene glycols) as co base oil in engine oil combined with special additional additives will significantly improve the performance of the oil under extreme conditions such as severe cold and stop-start driving conditions such as in traffic jams. Next gen VI Improver have been used which will perform much better than the classic VI Improvers used in engine oils. Other than traditional PAGs, OSP’s are compatible with hydrocarbon oils.

Because of a very low pour point and due to a very high viscosity index Poly Tech can be used in highand low-temperature environments. This makes Poly Tech a very versatile lubricant that offers the best performances possible in terms of oxidation stability, anti-wear, cleaning and deposit control. Moreover, due to Poly Tech’s improved cleaning and lubricating capacities the engine will be kept in outstanding condition over a long(er) period of time.

Below we will sum up the benefits of using OSP’s in traditional lubricants.

OSP’s: 

Improve significantly the deposit control of lubricants. 

Function as a very active friction modifier. 

Improve the solvency of additives in the formulation, does keeping the product in good condition over a long period of time. 

Offer good protection against corrosion in the engine. 

Are mild to seal material used in automotive applications. 

Boost the VI of the lubricant formulation. 

Improve the anti-wear properties of the finished lubricants.

Improve the oxidation stability of the finished lubricant. 

As Co-base oil it improves the performance of the other base oils in the formulation. 
